Where it all started...

Originally from a little hamlet on the outskirts of Arundel, nestled in a beautiful part of what is now The South Downs National Park in West Sussex, my world revolved around my thoroughbred horses, Rough Collie & sheep with a handful of bison for good measure! ...One of my horses, Blue, had always had an emotional support goat on the racing yard he came from, so it wasn't long before a couple of goats, nanny Tiggi & her doe kid Toggi appeared to keep the peace in 1999! Starting with the pair of rescue Pygmys I never looked back, adding some Nigerian Dwarf Goats Merribel & Lilabel a few years after..the British Saanen Bobbert joining the herd as a kid in Somersets fabulous Batcombe Vale in the Mendip Hills, along with rare breed British Guernseys Victoria & her kid Albert, then our first pure Golden Guernseys Amie & doe kid Poppy in 2020. Lila staying in this realm until a remarkable age in 2023 after the move from the Mendips in Somerset to enjoy her last spring & summer at our fabulous 16th century thatch on the Somerset Levels.

In late 2019 Bella, who I had previously enjoyed Scentwork with, raised the alarm by sniffing & indicating on my face that something was very wrong, and in doing so, saved my life. I recognised her body language from her indications on my other beautiful dog, Swiss White Shepherd Connie (2017)& later on Carpathian Shepherd Ursula(2021), both sadly lost to sudden aggressive cancers, which Bella had also indicated on & raised the alarm. Naturally this only increased my awareness of how many harmful substances we are all exposed to in our homes and daily life.

After a biopsy weeks later in January 2020 just as the pandemic started, I had the first of three lockdown operations on my face. Bella is the most incredible gentle & intuitive soul who everyone loves & I owe her my life. I now have a daily reminder on my face (halloween ready with my very own pirate scar on my left cheek! -I will add a link for some scary photos of my journey when feeling brave!) that we really do need to look after our skin - not just from the sun & the uv we are exposed to every waking moment all year round (- UVA & UVB can still harm us even when its cloudy, low light or Christmas Day!)..but also from the harsh chemicals that we so trustingly apply, some full of mineral oils, synthetic chemicals, parabens, sulphates & genetically modified ingredients to name a few of the nasties

Since 2000 I have always taken a holistic & organic where possible approach to not only food & diet for myself & my animals, but in our home , keeping our environment & oceans in mind. As a notorious label reader I've always taken a very cautious approach & many hours looking at the science behind each of those ingredients we can barely pronounce, let alone know what they cumulatively do to our bodies & the planet. So thats how our natural beauty journey & Natural Milk Soaps came to be... & I hope we can be part of a better future for your skin too!

Our strength lies in our individuality. Set up by founder Natasha Bell-Syer, the team strives to bring in the best talent in various fields, from browsing hedges & foraging on our glorious Somerset moors & meadows to produce delicious creamy goat milk, to crafting recipes, artisan soap making, design, sales & everything in between.

Our aim is to bring you the very best natural, eco & sustainable, plastic free & cruelty free beauty products, that have all been rigorously safety tested by chemists & fully insured & legally compliant. Every ingredient specifically & carefully considered & sourced for purity & quality, from the food our goats browse & the plastic free milking jugs, to the oils, butters & botanical ingredients, to the paper eco tape that keeps your precious delivery secure! We worry about all the little details so you don't have to!

Our ingredients are only what we consider to be absolutely essential, natural & nearly all food grade.. so you can rest assured there are no nasties & always cruelty free, never tested on animals~ gentle on your skin & gentle on the planet.

Our beautiful raw creamy milk used in our soaps is always from our own rare breed goats, we only have nanny's & doe kids living together, so there is never any pungent billy goat aroma with the milk or our soaps. Many peoples first reaction is horror that the products will smell like billys, but actually, nanny goats have little to no aroma, & usually smell sweet like fresh hay & the soaps have a mild natural delicate aroma of the oats, honey, milk & the oils & butters used to create them! The Golden Guernseys are on the rare breeds register, which along with their gentle, sweet & friendly almost dog like natures & gloriously creamy nutritious milk with high butter fat content, is why I made the choice to stay with this breed. They are kept as organically & holistically as possible(tho not certified organic) and when we do have goat kids, our breeding program is also supporting the rare breed & not simply just adding to the number of goats on our planet.2024 saw the rare breed granted Royal title by King Charles. They are now known as Royal Golden Guernsey Goats!
